Lois Privor-Dumm, MIBS
After spending nearly 18 years working in industry in various marketing, operations and finance positions, Ms. Privor-Dumm joined Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as Director, Communication & Strategy for the Hib Initiative. She also works with the PneumoADIP also based at Johns Hopkins as Director, Vaccine Access & Implementation. Ms. Privor-Dumm holds a Masters in International Business from the University of South Carolina and completed her studies and internship in Brussels, Belgium. She completed her undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Albany in Business Administration (Finance) and Spanish. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Ms. Privor-Dumm was responsible for global commercial strategy for various pipeline projects at Glaxo SmithKline (GSK). Previous to her time at GSK, she was focused on Wyeth’s vaccines and pharmaceutical businesses both in the US and internationally. She led a team responsible for the introduction of Prevnar (pneumococcal conjugate vaccine) and achieved unprecedented awareness and rapid uptake for a new vaccine in the US. Ms. Privor-Dumm also worked directly with countries as Commercial Director for Wyeth’s international businesses in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa to build awareness about Wyeth’s vaccines in the scientific community, support efforts with policy makers regarding the introduction of new vaccines and provide marketing and operational expertise to support for ongoing business.
